Take time to concentrate on your aim. Tee up the ball, stand back and look down the fairway, picking a specific target. Identify a spot on the grass just in front of the ball, directly on your line. Make sure you swing the clubhead straight over this point after impact to ensure you are hitting down the target line.
If you are playing on a windy day, don’t be tempted to hit the ball into the wind. Lower the ball flight by moving the ball back slightly into your stance and make a normal swing. This simple adjustment will help you produce a more boring trajectory (as your hands are slightly ahead at impact) without having to worry about changing your technique.
